Behind this seemingly simple idea lies something big; a rethinking that could put a stop to the pollution and overexploitation of our planet and would be able to counteract the devastating consequences of climate change.
James Lovelock published his Gaia hypothesis back in the 1970s. In it, he sees the world as a closed system that has increasingly lost the ability to regulate itself due to human influence. Initially frowned upon, his thesis is now at the center of the circular economy.
