The Bavarian Forest was once a commercial forest until the bark beetle struck and caused serious damage. With the vision of "letting nature be nature", it was declared a national park. Today, the forest is of extraordinary quality. The filmmaker Lisa Eder documented this in impressive, wonderful images. And with protagonists, researchers and forest lovers come from far and wide to see the dynamics with which the forest can develop into a natural oasis - if left to itself.
